Canon PowerShot A4000IS 16.0 MP Coupon

Elosser (kernersville, nc United States) :This is my fourth or fifth Canon digital P&S, over the years I've worn all the others out. This one has lived up to my expectations of Canon quality. All the controls do take a bit of experimentation to figure out, but you can leave it on AUTO and let the camera do all the work. The only disadvantage for me, there is no manual control of shutter speed and F-stop. However, in P mode you can index the exposure (+/-) and set the ISO speed for some creativity

Tom G (Arizona):The little camera is a charmer. The picture quality is color perfect. Has a big LCD display. The response time of the controls and zoom are very snappy. It has 8x optical zoom and if you keep your finger on the zoom it continues after a slight warning pause onto digital zoom for 32x. Yeah, the pic will get a bit grainy at that level but you've got lots of pixels to work with.

Duncan (Grosse Pointe Farms, MI):When my pocket Sony camera died, I thought I wanted a little bigger camera with more features, but friends with bigger, "real" cameras convinced me to look for another pocket-sized camera for ease of carrying. I compared at a lot of cameras in this "class" and am very happy with my decision to go with this Canon PowerShot

Canon PowerShot S120 12.1 MP Coupon

Just Chris (N.H., USA):Like most of its predecessors it's built very well, feels good in the hand, and most of the buttons have good feedback. It has gotten a little more rounded over the years but I like it, square camera with smooth edges that don't annoy me in the pocket.

Mark Sanchez (Phoenix, AZ USA): The Canon S120 is pretty amazing for a pocket sized camera and works perfect as the camera to grab when you don't want to carry the big DSLR. There are definitely some advantages and disadvantages worth pointing out.

Brian:I'm not a serious photographer; however, we all want to take quality pictures. My review won't get into the technical specs, as the review sites cover it pretty well. Instead, I'll discuss why I chose the Canon PowerShot S120, how I use it, and how I like it. I also ordered a (80MB/s) 32 GB SanDisk Extreme SDHC Class 10 UHS-1 memory card for storage, since a memory card isn't included.

Canon PowerShot SX260 HS 12.1 MP Coupon

E. Tam (Antioch, CA):I received my SX260 last Wednesday and have taken about 700 shots and a few quick 5 minute video. Without writing a novel, here are the high/low points of this unit. In addition to this unit, I also purchased a couple of aftermarket batteries (and after market A/C adapters for about $5.00 each) for about $5.00 each and the batteries work fine.

K. S. Bowen "KS Bowen" (California):I am an experienced amateur photographer and I've owned many cameras over the past 40 years. I've had some photos published but photography has always been strictly a hobby, though a serious one. I shoot with a Canon 7D, Rebel backup, various 'L' lenses, and I also use an Olympus E-P1 occasionally as well as a Canon S90 and Powershot 1100S (kept in my glovebox for 'emergencies'). I enjoy taking pictures.

Artemaria (New York City):Generally speaking, NONE of these cameras is a DSLR replacement. Whomever writes that the pictures are as good as a DSLR is not speaking accurately. Also, none of the cameras is a replacement for a high end camcorder.

Canon PowerShot SX280 12MP Coupon

Telemachus (Virginia, USA):I've had a number of PowerShot cameras. Really impressed with the picture quality of the camera and the overall speed. Colors and picture quality are quite good and the low-light performance is superior. The previous review focuses nicely on the picture quality, so I wil stick with the human factors.

Another Reviewer :Enough said about how good this compact camera is in the other reviews. Only two quick comments: It is an excellent compact zoom camera complimentary to my SLR camera/lens collection on the road for quick shots (photo & video) without lens changing. Case Logic DCB-302 Compact Case provides good protection and a perfect fit with room for extra battery and SD card.

Malinsky : Also, you'll only get about 30 minutes or so of 1920/60fps HD video per charge (keep in mind the battery will likely be flashing red most of the time). But keep in mind, its really just a bug. When you power up your camera, the true charge is shown on the indicator.

Canon PowerShot G16 12.1 MP Coupon

S. Vogt :This is my second stab at a review for this camera and after spending more time with it.. while I still think it is a solid camera, whether it's worth the price depends on what your priorities are. If you like fast burst shooting and that is something that you value highly, then by all means, get this camera. But if your primary concern is still image quality and decent AF speed, I suggest saving your money and buying the older G15 instead or wait until the price inevitably drops.

John Blayse (Florida):PowerShot G16 is equipped with 2 wheel functions - one to select different shooting modes and a custom offset allows light. The new version is also equipped with removable flash hot shoe for flash parallel toad in the left corner of the machine.

Peter:The burst performance works as advertised. This camera excels as a budget action shooter. Outside of that the autofocus performance is good, but again, not that different from the G15...despite Canon's claims of vastly improved autofocus.

Canon PowerShot SH530 12MP Coupon

Fox "vaporlock9" (Foothills of the Sierras): I switched to Program mode and started playing with the settings and menus. The first thing I noticed was that JPG compression was set at "fine"...not "very fine" which is an option. File size went up, but noise decreased quite a bit. Much of the noise was in fact jpg compression artifacts.

Ron (SF Bay Area): I didn't get the 530HS because I had heard negative feedback about the touch screen. The only thing other than the touch screen that is different is that the 530HS has wi-fi. The 520HS cost at least $50 less. I am leaving on a cruise and will report back when I return.

Spigel "shutterbug" (olean,ny): It would be nice to have a printed manual rather than a CD for more in depth discussion of the camera but this is an industry trend. The movies are also quite good. I bought the camera at BJs where it was a little cheaper but had to buy the micro SD card which can be gotten cheaper online. All in all this camera seems like a winner and will update if my intial impression changes

Canon EOS Rebel T4i 18.0 MP Coupon

Reed (Detroit):I had this long awesome review and Amazon lost it of course. So here goes a second try.
This is my second Canon camera. Previously I have owned Olympus and Minolta cameras. I owned a t2i before this and used a t3i for weeks for testing purposes. I will try to cover most aspects of the new features and image quality

Thompson (Missouri, United States):I've only had my T3i for about 8 months when this came out but I read the details and decided to pre-order. The new T4i just arrived today (body only) and I've been playing around with it all afternoon using my 50mm 1.4 lens.

T3iEnthusiast:I'm a bit of a gadget junkie while my wife is not. The T4i allows her to pick up the camera and take better quality pictures, while affording me the ability to learn more about photography and move to manual settings. While I learn, I too can use the camera in auto mode and use the screen tips to assist me.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP CMOS APS-C Coupon

Madphule (PA, USA):The video capability is truly amazing, but does require a fast card (class 6 and up) I have a Class 10 and noted some lag when my son was running around in a low light living room. The Grandparents will be able to watch HD movies on their big screen.

MacMaven234 (Los Angeles, CA):I'm not worthy to be a serious reviewer of this product, as I'm just learning what all the photo jargon means. Let me just say excellent professional looking shots are pretty easy with this camera, and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of purchasing an SLR camera. I love the 18-135mm lens

Cyberpip "cyberpip1" (Colorado):So am returning it to Amazon for replacement rather than sending it to the Canon repair center as I didnt want to wait possibly weeks. Amazon is great about it especially since I had it only a few days. They are shipping a new one immediately which is fantastic and gave me a return label for return shipping for the defective camera.

Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP Coupon

Dojoklo (Cambridge, MA):There is also a marginally helpful Feature Guide which gives brief descriptions of various settings and some additional video features like Video Snapshot, which you can use to shoot short video clips that are automatically joined together into a video, with music.

W. Edwards (WA):The auto mode (or auto without flash, my favorite) is highly forgiving, taking fantastically sharp images, true to color. They look so clear that I feel I'm capturing as close to real life as I've ever seen before in a camera.

David Robert (North Central, PA USA):As if the Rebel line wasn't popular enough with budding photographers... The introduction of the T3i has captured the imagination of thousands of aspiring videographers... with it's ability to capture FULL HD video... bright, articulating 3 inch LCD screen (which comes in really handy when shooting video in the field), and the ability to select from a host of lenses

Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP Coupon

W. Stewart "Bill" (Long Island, NY):I think the camera is an amazing buy for the money. I was able to unpack the contents & begin shooting good pictures IMMEDIATELY, using the fully automatic settings & the included partially charged battery. You will however, need to supply an SD Card as this is not included, not even a small one.

Matthew Coenen "Ah. Books." (Spokane, WA):Detailed manual. Yes, it's long. Yes, it's detailed. But with so many features and combinations of settings, I'd much rather have detail versus "the basics." (Though there is a "basics" version as well). The T3 is not a toy. It's a tool. As with any tool, you need to take the time to learn to use it effectively.

Crenwelge (Texas): There are also Creative Options if you are a photographer and want to tweak the settings yourself. I am a beginning photographer and I have not yet utilized these settings but I will update my review once I do so. This camera is also a very nice size if you want a better camera than a point a shoot but don't want to commit to a mammoth SLR. It is a great in-between size and could easily fit in a medium sized purse for a woman, if you so choose to carry it that way.

Canon PowerShot SX160 IS 16.0 M Coupon

David :Certainly not the most amazing camera available, but here is what I like about it. It is the best compromise I could find on the many features that are important to me as a backpacker

MS1700:The video is fantastic. The zoom is all there and even if I eventually decide to go bust on a higher end camera, this one will be in my arsenal!

Old geek:Eats batteries sometimes. I think the powerful flash is the reason. Will not do well with anything but
Nimh rechargables. You need a good charger and 8 batteries (two in camera, six backup) if you are going anywhere.

Canon PowerShot SX500 IS 16.0 MP Coupon

Mickey "Mike" (Washington):The moment of truth! Did I get my monies worth? Risking a $4000.00 vacation photo shoot of hundreds of pictures of my kids, the park, capturing the actual "essence" of our grand vacation on a $329.00 camera?

A. Z. (Los Angeles):Another person doesnt know this camera has Auto mode so she keeps taking blurred pictures of h er kids and dogs. She probably needs a cheaper camera for her needs and place it on Auto/Sports mode with FLASH on at all times. Blur-b-gone.

 D. Black (Brandon, Florida): I expected better low light results from Canon since I'm a Canon fan and I shoot with Canon products. I've had other point and shoot cameras that performed better in low light situations. In contrast, pictures in full daylight with no flash needed were very good!

Canon PowerShot SX170 IS 16.0 MP Coupon

John Sturgeon (Monterey, California):Accordingly, I bought a new Canon SX170. I tested it out to compare it. For sentimental reasons, I intend to keep it. But for the most obvious of reasons, which I just indicated in the above statement, I'm not pleased with it. To the contrary, I am deeply saddened about what has now been completely lost to all consumers, worldwide

Stanley Torow "st" (Milford CT):This is completely unacceptable. They took the one feature that made the SX160/SX130 series appealing and destroyed it. I guess I'm going to get an SX160 while they're still in stock.

Wray Mould :Oh, and by the way, the SX170 is a great little point 'n shoot camera for the price, with manual controls if desired. I don't expect it to perform like my Canon 5D MkIII, but that one won't fit in my pocket. I like the SX170 for what it is, and I couldn't care less about its lineage.

Canon PowerShot A2500 16MP Coupon

David "Zurasson" (St Paul, MN, USA):What really distinguishes it from its predecessor is Smart Auto Mode recognizing 32 shooting environments and adjusts settings for better quality. It automatically selects the best shooting settings for optimal quality based on the environmental factors (lightning I guess) to provide point'n'shoot simplicity

Military Mommy (South Dakota): Like all P&S cameras, this one performs best in bright, outdoor lighting. However, the ease of use and quality of pictures for the small price tag makes this a good buy. This is one of the better P&S cameras I have had.

E. Tucker (IA, USA):
The Canon brand has made cameras its specialty and the Canon PowerShot A2500 holds true to type. This model brings out all the features that you would expect of a camera of its class but has the added advantage of making it easier for the consumer to access those features. In other words you get the best of both worlds with a great camera and easy usage.

Canon PowerShot A2300 IS 16.0 MP Coupon

D. M. Kemp (Dallas, TX):The pictures are decent. I find some of the interior pictures are a bit grainy, even with the flash. The flash is plenty bright - so no issues there. Switching to low light mode made all the difference. This quick change off the menu function made for clear crisp pictures.

Shihtzu Mom (Virginia):The movie mode works well, with good clarity and color. Bottom line: for everyday shapshots (condidering the performance, features, and price) you'll be happy with the A2300. For more details you can download the user manual from the Canon website.

Troldilocks "Troldilocks" (USA):I should also mention that it was a toss up between purchasing a Canon and a much more expensive Nikon Coolpix. I chose the Canon after reading the reviews here and I'm glad I did. I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Worth mentioning: It was packaged very well and arrived quickly

But for the most obvious of reasons, which I just indicated in the above statement, I'm not pleased with it. To the contrary, I am deeply saddened about what has now been completely lost to all consumers, worldwide - The day the last full-featured, full-manual-control, compact, 2-AA battery, travel & field camera left on the entire worldwide market - Died.

Tcaseyrochester "tcaseyrochester" (Upstate NY) :I am an avid amateur photographer with 50+ years of experience with every film and focal plane technology ever created. This camera is my latest "pocket camera" to have with me 24/7, it's for those unique unplanned shots that always pop up when you least expect them and when your DSLR is just not an option to lug around with you all day.

Stanley Torow "st" (Milford CT):Oh, and by the way, the SX170 is a great little point 'n shoot camera for the price, with manual controls if desired. Military Mommy (South Dakota):The pictures I took while holding my baby (who was trying to grab the camera) of my 4 other children who were riding a moving train turned out surprisingly good. I also manually adjusted the ISO to 1600 and took some shots while holding my squirming baby, and the pictures were not as noisy as I thought they would be.

Canon PowerShot SX510 HS 12.1 MP Coupon

John Blayse (Florida):I love this camera. You can easy use it with auto focus. 3" screen. Optical zoom 30x. Interestingly, you can share you image with friends easily with Wifi were built in. With 12.1MP CMOS, it enough for basic user. You can adjust the option or auto shoot.

DICollege (Elk Grove, CA, US):I have to admit, I am not a very avid photographer and until now have only used my cell phone and Ipod cameras. I think that for the price, this is exceptionally a great camera and who can ask for more. Does one need anything else unless a professional photographer? I say not. You will be pleased with this camera as I am. EXCELLENT PICTURE quality. And video that is better than blue ray discs.

Forrest Coulter "Luke coulter" (Claremore ok.):this camera is great!! the first day I got it, I found out how good it is. It has lots of zoom and when I bought a tripod for it, it worked awesomely. It is OK for beginners but it is AWSOME for people who have lots of camera experience. If you are looking for a good camera BUY THIS ONE!!!!!

Matthew Coenen "Ah. Books." (Spokane, WA): I purchased a Canon EOS 650 -- one of their first autofocus film cameras -- to use as my high school's yearbook editor and photographer. I absolutely loved the camera; my nephew recently inherited it, and he loves it as well. It took amazing pictures. Offered a plethora of features. And has lasted over 20 years.

Sean E. Crenwelge (Texas):I have a Canon point and shoot and, thought that is nice because it's small, the picture quality started to annoy me. The Canon Rebel T3 has great picture quality, I am absolutely impressed. And, incase you are a newbie to camera buying, megapixels DO NOT matter with regards to picture quality; so don't think you have to buy a 18.8 megapixel camera to get a great picture.

David "Zurasson" (St Paul, MN, USA):As far as I know DIGIC 4 is currently Canon's most efficient processor for budget cameras. BTW it has some Eco mode, that is said to be providing even faster warm-up times and saves the standard battery, but I haven't tested it yet.

Mommy (South Dakota):I chose a Canon because I have a Canon DSLR and love it. I also wanted an inexpensive camera, because I thought it would sit on the shelf for most of the year. Of course it did not come with a memory card, as I have yet to buy any camera that does.
